摘要	The title complex [Sr-3(pda)(2)(Hpda)(2)(H2O)(2)](n)center dot 2nH(2)O (H(2)pda = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid) has been prepared under solvothermal conditions. It has been characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, IR and elemental analysis. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c with a = 10.3795(8), b = 9.2225(7), c = 18.5726(14) angstrom, beta = 104.377(2)degrees, V = 1722.2(2) angstrom(3), C28H22N4O20Sr3, M-r = 997.36, Z = 2, D-c = 1.923 g/cm(3), mu = 4.722 mm(-1), F(000) = 984, the final R = 0.0269 and wR = 0.0538. This complex possesses a 3-D structure which is constructed from 1-D chain motifs linked by carboxylate groups. The luminescent property of the title complex has been investigated.
