AbstractThe Pitzer ion-interaction model has been used for calculations of thermodynamic characteristics of double salts 3RbCl center dot LiCl center dot 2H(2)O and RbCl center dot 2LiCl center dot 4H(2)O in the ternary system LiCl-RbCl-H2O at 298.15 K. The standard molar Gibbs energy of formation of the two double salts from the corresponding simple salts LiCl center dot H2O and RbCl, as well as the standard molar Gibbs energy of formation have been determined.
