CORROSION OF STEEL BAR IN MAGNESIUM CEMENT CONCRETE BASED ON ELECTROCHEMICAL METHOD

AbstractIn order to solve the magnesium pollution in the salt lake of western China, research based on existing corrosion of steel bar in the process of use of magnesium cement reinforced concrete was developed. In combination with the practical environment of salt lake region, similar simulation experiment and theory analysis method was used to study the reinforced corrosion in magnesium cement concrete. One group of test blocks of magnesium cement reinforced concrete with the bare steel bar was a control group and the other groups with the steel bar covered with different coating were the experimental groups. By CS350 electrochemical workstation, the electrochemical corrosion of steel bar in magnesium cement concrete was studied, and a cycle of collecting data was 60 d. The results show that through analysis of alternating current impedance and the polariSation curve, effective data consisting of the corrosion potential, corrosion current density, corrosion rate, resistance of steel bar with coating and the capacitance of steel bar with coating were regarded as evaluation index of steel corrosion. The order from high to low about anticorrosion performance of different kinds of steel bar with coating is: steel bar with MAGNI coating, steel bar with ZINTEK coating, and bare steel bar; the gap of anticorrosive effects of steel bar with coating is very big, but it obviously is better than that of the bare steel bar.
